About us
The 03 Way
The 03 way is to do things once and do them right — designed right, built to last.
03 Sheds and Garages is a local crew building and renovating timber and steel sheds, garages, workshops, commercial buildings and shed homes across Canterbury and the Central South Island. The business is fully owned and operated out of Christchurch.
We run it as a process-driven business — clean, clear systems and quality managed on every job. Everything is specified and agreed before work starts, checked as it goes, and you're kept in the loop the whole way. Here's a bit about who we are.

Meet Aaron
The builder behind 03
Aaron grew up on farms around Kaikoura, Culverden and Hokitika. He got into building at 16, working for BG Beaven Builders in the Amuri area — building and renovating plenty of sheds along the way.
At 21 he moved to the big smoke and joined the team at Farmbuild, spending a few years living on high country stations and building everything from pole sheds and commercial buildings to architectural homes.
In 2022 he started Bolton Builders — small at first, growing to a team of 12 working on sites throughout Canterbury.
03 Sheds and Garages grew out of that — every bloke's love of a good shed, and a desire to stay working in the rural sector.
Aaron isn't on the tools as much as he used to be, but he loves having a big crew of good blokes to pass what he knows on to. It's about people working with a builder who knows Canterbury, and knowing exactly who is going to build your shed.
Meet the team
The people on your site
Aaron and the crew you see on your site are one and the same - locals who live in the same towns they build in, on the tools across Canterbury and the Central South Island every week. No rotating cast of subcontractors: the people who measure up your job are the people who finish it.
